House speaker Rached Ghannouchi met Monday at Bardo Palace with Kuwait’s ambassador in Tunis Ali Ahmad Al-Dhafiri.
Al-Dhafiri hailed Tunisia’s response procedure in the battle against the Coronavirus pandemic and its victory in controlling its spread.
He further displayed his appreciation for the Tunisian model and the democratic experience in Tunisia.
For his part, Ghannouchi spoke about the health situation in both countries and the outcomes of COVID-19 on trade, international relationships and air traffic.
The Kuwaiti ambassador delivered to the Parliament Speaker a message from his Kuwaiti counterpart, Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim, including a formal invitation to visit the State of Kuwait with a parliamentary delegation.
This invitation is directed at strengthening parliamentary friendship relations and exchanging views on a number of issues of common interest, the same source said.
The meeting was attended by Second Deputy Speaker of the parliament Tarak Ftiti and Assessor for Foreign Relations Nabil Hadji.
