Tunisia-Rafik Boujdaria: General lockdown and vaccination, the only solutions

The Head of the emergency department at Ariana’s Abderrahmane Mami Hospital Rafik Boujdaria affirmed that the only solution to deal with the Delta variant is the declaration of full lockdown and vaccination.
Speaking to Shems FM, Boujdaria said, this Monday, July 12, 2021, that “natural collective immunity will cost thousands of deaths”, remarking that Tunisia will not realise this immunity as long as the health system is not on the edge of collapse.
He emphasised the need to manage the current wave with vaccination so that a new variant does not emerge.
