The Astronomical Society of Tunisia has estimated that Ramadan will start on Sunday, April 3, 2022. The association revealed, in a press release that the observation of the crescent moon declaring the start of the month of Ramadan 1443 Hegira cannot be done on the evening of April 1, 2022, with the naked eye or by employing astronomical instruments.
According to the association, most Islamic nations will not be able to observe the crescent with the probability of observing it with great difficulty by astronomical instruments from the far west of the African continent.
