The “Raqaba” Observatory announced that “the decision to disburse an amount of 3,000 dinars for the benefit of the representatives of the people is contrary to the law”.
It explained that the office of the Council decided to disburse an amount of 3,000 dinars net (3,450 dinars gross) to the representatives of the people, following a decision of the Assembly of Representatives of the People speaker on the credits allocated to the expenditure of management, entitled requirements fees to support the work of the representative during the first half of the year 2024.
The observatory views that this decision constituted a flagrant violation of the Basic Budget Law and the Income Tax Code.
