Tunisia receives half million Algerian tourists in 3 months

According to official figures, Tunisia received from January 1 to March 31, 2023 nearly 563,053 Algerian tourists through land and air borders. This is a record number compared to previous years.

This number could have reached 600,000 visitors if school holidays had not coincided with the month of Ramadan in Algeria.

This figure exceeds the one recorded in 2019, which is seen as a reference year. The increase is estimated at 13.6% viewing the number of Algerians who entered Tunisia at the time was 495,635 people.
