Tunisia – Rehabilitation of Belvedere swimming pool will be finshed in September

Brigadier General Sami Al-Andulsi, Director General of Military Engineering, confirmed, today Friday, that the rehabilitation works of the Belvedere municipal swimming pool will be finished within 6 months from the date of their beginning. , adding that the swimming pool should be ready at the ending of next October.

He clarified during the visit organized by the Ministry of National Defense for the benefit of a certain number of journalists to the General Directorate of Military Engineering in Oued Ellil, that the rehabilitation work on the Belvédère municipal swimming pool by the General Administration of Military Engineering interferes in execution of the orders of the President of the Republic, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and will be completed within the deadline set at 6 months.

He added that the works have currently advanced by 15 percent and include the demolition of unsuitable parts and foundations and that the rest of the works will be following the instructions of the management by preserving all the distinctive architectural features of the Belvedere swimming pool until ‘upon its return to its initial state and initial specifications.

The President of the Republic, Kais Saied, made an unannounced visit last February to the Belvédère municipal swimming pool, at the end of which he mandated the Ministry of National Defense to supervise the rehabilitation work of this sports facility.
