Tunisia-Sadok Jabnoun attacks Kais Saied and compares him to Donald Trump

Reflecting on the tensions between Carthage and Kasbah over the cabinet reshuffle and the swearing-in of new ministers of the administration, Jabnoun stated that in truth Kais Saied’s actions are perceived more as a sidelining of the institutions of the 2nd Republic as a position in regard the cabinet reshuffle. He stated that there is an epistemological break between this latter notion and the president.

Speaking to a private radio, he said“Saied desires to bring down the 2nd Republic. In fact, he struck the Constitution during his election campaign, ”he added, remarking the resemblance to Donald Trump who sought to get out of the constitutional framework.

Moreover, he recalled that Qalb Tounes is bound to respecting the Constitution, state institutions and accordingly political stability. “This is why we have supported prime minister Hichem Mechichi and the parliamentary system,” he added.
