Speaking to Tunisie Numérique,Sahbi Ben Fraj condemned the paradox in 2014 constitution which grants the President of the Republic entirely timid abilities against enormous attributions to the Head of Government, while the latter is not chosen by direct universal ballot as is the case with the President of the Republic.
He further criticized the almost endless discretionary power given to the Head of State to choose the most suitable person to be the Head of Government in the lack of parliamentary consensus under this constitution. The text, nevertheless, does not lay down clear criteria to avoid possible abuse, he explained.
