President of the Republic Kais Saïed said during his visit to the headquarters of the Ministry of Agriculture, Friday September 8, 2023, that there are lobbies which desire to harm Tunisians, with the aim of inflaming social conditions, by linking with the missing foodstuffs.
He continues in this context: “They form a crisis each time… and consumer goods are lost on each occasion, such as medicines, milk, rice, coffee and sugar… I remind you that the State exists and will do its best. Anyone who aims to create crises and starve Tunisians, we will confront them with the force of the law.
He likewise said: “If milk is missing, why is it in cheese and yoghurt… I mean, there are cheese cows and semi-skimmed milk cows? He felt that provoking crises had become a means of pressure, stressing that the barons wanted to create a milk crisis.
The President of the Republic highlighted that Tunisia is full of resources and that we have skills capable of creating miracles, affirming: “We will have a strategic reserve of cereals and our message to the people is that we will operate to fulfil their will and clean up the country and the institutions that have intentionally obstructed many projects.”
