Tunisia-Saïed: “There are red lines in our discussions with the IMF”

The Head of State, Kaïes Saïed revealed, Thursday, February 24, 2022, at Carthage Palace, that he had agreed with prime minister Najla Bouden on the presence” of red lines in our discussions with the IMF “.

Chairing the Council of Ministers, he emphasised the necessity to support vulnerable people who should not be additionally weakened.  Saïed likewise affirmed that all the required measures to put an end to monopoly and speculation practices will be taken, describing as criminals those who attempt to get their hands on the livelihoods of Tunisians.

The President of the Republic has again vowed to act firmly against speculators not only through the seizure of goods but furthermore through custodial penalties.
