Tunisia – Saïed: We must put an end to business of political assassinations

President of the Republic, Kais Saied, held a meeting with Ms. Leila Jaffal, Minister of Justice. The discussions covered various topics, with a significant focus on the necessity for prompt decisions in several cases that have been stagnant for over a decade. This includes cases related to martyrs Chokri Belaid and Mohamed Brahmi, as well as those connected to the assassination of soldiers in July 2013 and various other crimes.

President Saied stressed that the Tunisian people have the right to know the truth and demand accountability for crimes committed, whether from December 17, 2010, or after January 2011.

During the meeting, President Saied also examined the draft revision of article 411 of the Commercial Code and discussed a draft revision of the decree related to criminal reconciliation, aiming to make progress on these matters as soon as possible.
