Tunisia-Salah Attia affair: SNJT points to a double standard policy adopted by the authorities

Remarking on  Salah Attia case, the National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT) refused the appearance of civilians before military courts while repeating its call to respect Decree 115. The SNJT called on professionals in the sector to adhere to the ethics of the profession, pointing out the necessity to disseminate reliable information away from political agendas.

According to the press release published today, the SNJT rejected the policy of double standards adopted by the authorities, which tend to speed up the opening of inquiries against opponents but never initiate legal proceedings against their allies no matter how severe their statements.
