Tunisia- Samia Abbou: Hichem Mechichi has shown “cowardice”

Democratic Bloc MP Samia Abbou stated that by attempting to make the people believe that the government had changed the health restrictions declared on April 7 at the request of the President of the Republic, Hichem Mechichi had shown “cowardice”.

The MP pointed out that the decision of the prime minister is in fact triggered by the response of the social categories most affected by the advancement of the curfew at 7 p.m., in particular cafeterias and restaurateurs.

The latter did not accept government decisions and went so far as to warn of civil disobedience, she recalled.

According to her, it is important either to decree a lockdown, the consequences of which will be large on the economic level or to provide strict measures to limit the risk of infection, in particular the compulsory wearing of masks and the acceleration of the vaccination process.
