Tunisia-UGTT condemns police violence against TAP journalists

The UGTT national executive office denounced police violence against TAP journalists after the security forces raided the headquarters of the Agency to allow access to the new director-general, Kamel Ben Younes.

The UGTT called on the administration to apologize to Agency workers and not to involve the security forces in tensions and conflicts.

It also called on the government to nullify this appointment as well as that made at the head of Shems FM, indicating their suspicious and non-objective nature.

The Union also called on the government to respect media freedom and the independence of media institutions.
