In an interview with France 24, the Minister of Economy and Planning Samir Saïed stated that the current situation of public finances does not permit his government to decide on new wage increases. Denying the decrease in the wage bill, Samir Saïed disclosed that the government team is moving more towards a logic of controlling this mass.
On the other hand, he remarked on the rise in the BCT key rate, saying that he understands this decision. According to him, the ministry in question still has other alternatives to revive the economy.
