The scientific committee for the fight against Covid-19 denounced during its periodical meeting held yesterday the absenteeism of people who were convoked to receive the second dose, according to the member of the committee and Head of department infectious diseases, Hanen Touiri.
She added that the percentage of effectiveness of the first dose of the vaccine does not surpass 30%, stating that it is inadequate if the second dose has not been injected. Hanen Touiri further said that 30% of the 75 and over age group have not yet been vaccinated, calling on this category to receive the second injection as soon as possible in order to protect themselves against the risk of infection.
