Tunisia-Sfax: 21 bodies of migrants recovered off Sidi Mansour

Maritime National Guard units aided by fishing boats succeeded to rescue three people (a man and two women from Côte d’Ivoire and Guinea).

Their boat was capsized at Sidi Mansour beach during an attempted illegal migration to the Italian coast.

The search operations recovered 21 corpses which were transported to the mortuary of the CHU Habib Bourguiba in Sfax. The search continues and an inquiry has been initiated by order of the public prosecutor.
