Tunisia-RTCI suspends host Anis Moraï and apologizes

The management of Radio Tunis international channel declared that it had decided to suspend the host of the program “Dans le vif du sujet”, Anis Moraï, after his derogatory conduct towards his guest, Dr Samar Samoud.

The radio extended its apologies to Samar Samoud and announced it had initiated an internal inquiry into what happened on April 15, 2021 broadcast.

“The management of RTCI offers its honest apologies to Doctor Samoud as well as to all the doctors and assures that the incident is taken extremely seriously, which does not reflect the values ​​or the ethics of this public service. In this regard, an internal probe was opened and the host in question suspended from the air until further notice, in accordance with the procedures applied in such cases, “reads a press release published on April 16.

The press release emphasised that the RTCI has always been an open and respectful platform for all doctors and all other professions.
