Tunisia-Sfax: A malfunction in radiotherapy machine bars dozens of Children With Cancer from continuing treatment

Fear and terror spread among parents as a breakdown in radiotherapy machine stopped cancer treatment for their children for two weeks at Habib Bourguiba hospital in Sfax.

In a official statement to Tunisie Numérique, many parents expressed their profound fear over the prevailing situation as they are unable to reasonably afford treatment outside Government Hospitals.

One of the parents pointed out that this imminent disaster has promptly become a nightmare for families as time is ticking for their children, they asked the Ministry of Health and the regional administration to move and properly fix this dangerous dilemma that is threatening the survival of their children.

He said that preliminary information available to him asserts that hospitals have not paid Maintenance companies specialized in fixing the necessary equipment.
