Tunisia – shortage of drugs in public hospitals

The secretary general of the public health physician union has revealed that pharmacies of public hospitals are undergoing a shortage of drugs. This lack involves both drugs for chronic and acute diseases and even inexpensive products.

He added that this shortage is due to a supply problem on the part of the central pharmacy and that the ministry plans to give a budgetary extension to hospitals to permit them to go beyond this crisis.
