The prosecution of the Sidi Bouzid Court of First Instance authorized the opening of a judicial inquiry against 8 people, including a manager of a baccalaureate examination centre in Sidi Bouzid in 2021, two of his assistants and a number of teachers, supervising teachers and civil servants in the same centre as well as the issuance of a search warrant for cheating against a candidate for the competition.
The defendants are implicated in a case that dates back to the 2021 baccalaureate exams when a candidate was caught cheating and yet was permitted to continue the exam, the first deputy prosecutor of the republic Jaber Ghanmi told TAP.
The same source specified that the public prosecutor has decided to open an investigation against anyone involved in this case for cheating and participation in forgery during a national competition on the basis of a complaint filed by the responsible State litigation against the Ministry of Education.
