Tunisia-Sihem Nemsia: Tunisia counts on friendly and brotherly countries to have external loans

 

During the discussion of the 2024 draft budget, the Minister of Finance disclosed that the state anticipates a financing need of over 28 billion dinars in 2024 to cover the budget deficit and repay external debt. This requirement is divided into 11,743 million dinars from domestic borrowing, constituting around 42%, and 16,445 million dinars, which includes 14,470 million dinars as direct support for the budget and allows for 3,200 million dollars in external borrowing. The Minister highlighted the importance of diplomatic relations to secure external financing resources and guarantees for the budget. He also emphasized the need to strengthen collaboration with Tunisians to create wealth.
