The National Union of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT) demanded an apology from Saudi-owned Al-Arabiya TV over what they considered misconceptions that touches the core of journalistic work, which is credibility , falsification of testimonies and tarnishing the image of Tunisia and its citizen particularly the region of Dehiba.
The SNJT considered the aired documentary as a politically oriented try to diminish the image of Tunisia and mislead public opinion.
Moreover , they pointed out that regarding 90%of Dehiba’s citizens as being engaged in terrorism is an unacceptable distortion and contradicted all professional ethical charters and the spirit of journalism which is based on honesty, integrity and truth.
