Tunisia-SNJT warns against campaigns to incite hatred against journalists

The National Syndicate of Tunisian Journalists (SNJT) warned against incitement to hatred campaigns targeting journalists during recent late-night protests.
In a press release, the SNJT  said some reporters have been attacked by Ennahdha party leader Rafik Abdessalem and Al Karama parliamentary bloc MP Mohamed Affes. According to the same statement, Abdessalem attacked journalist Bilel Mabrouk of Arab channel “Al Ghad”.
Following this, many pages shared his photo accusing him of being a double agent. In the same context, MP Affes attacked national broadcaster Taieb Bouzid and accused the channel of being unpatriotic. Other media have been targeted such as Al Arabiya and Sky News. Meantime, a journalist from Shems FM has earned death threats after hailing the intervention of law enforcement during the night demonstrations and riots in Nabeul.
