Tunisia-SONEDE: The governorate of Ben Arous and eleven other regions without water from tomorrow

Four governorates are touched by the shutdown and disruption of drinking water announced on Monday by the National Water Exploitation and Distribution Company (SONEDE).

There are many regions of the governorates of Tunis, Ben Arous, Nabeul and Zaghouan, which will see the distribution of drinking water either cut or disrupted for 3 days, beginning tomorrow Tuesday at 12 noon.

The regions are as follows:

  • All Ben Arous delegations
  • upper areas of Montfleury, Ouardia 5, Cité Ennour, Cité Ibn Sina, El Morouj 2, Jbal Jelloud and Sidi Fathallah in Tunis
Cité Saltane, Soliman and Fondouk Jedid in Nabeul
  • Jebel el Ouest in Zaghouan

The outage comes is due to maintenance work on a breakdown at the main water distribution channel to the southern suburbs, at the Rapid Rail Network (RFR) worksite near the Ben Dahha intersection.

Water distribution will resume regularly , starting at noon on January 28, the same source added.
