Tunisia – Soukra: Arrest of 16 sub-Saharan Africans who broke cars following dispute during football match

The prosecution at the Ariana Court of First Instance allowed agents of the Ariana National Security District to apprehend around 16 young people from sub-Saharan countries due to a dispute that broke out last night in  Soukra concerning a football match as part of the African Football Cup.

Available data reveals that during an African Cup of Nations football match, several young men of sub-Saharan African nationality assembled in a coffee shop in La Soukra to watch the match. Nevertheless, an argument broke out between some spectators, which quickly turned into a pitched battle, following which some of the cafe’s equipment was destroyed, and the battle then transferred to the street with an exchange of stone-throwing, which led to the windows of cars parked in the area being broken.

Security units intervened to disperse the belligerents and make the necessary arrests.
