Tunisia – Targeted lockdown: Everything that you need to know

Tunisia will observe a targeted lockdown as of today Monday, January 18. After having observed four-day lockdown of 4 days, the terms of which were not respected. A normal administrative agenda will be restored, besides, in accordance with recent decisions taken by the government to limit the spread of the coronavirus, the Ministry of the Civil Service has decided to apply for the work in rotation during the week from January 18 to 24 2021.

As for the curfew, it will be decreased and will be observed from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. As for other major measures, classes for all levels including higher education will be postponed until Sunday 24 January. In terms of transport, louage will resume service as they will be authorized to transport just those who are authorized to travel between the governorates. Individual, collective and public transport taxis will regularly resume service.
The targeted Lockdownincludes the ban on demonstrations, gatherings and travel between cities, the curfew and the organization of work in groups with the adoption of remote working. Certain businesses will be called upon to favour teleworking. Mosques will likewise be reopened except for the elderly, those with chronic illnesses and those who have doubts about their state of health are urged not to come to the mosque in order to preserve their health. and that of others.
