The owners of cafes in Sidi Bouzid held a meeting at the regional headquarters of UTICA to consider the reality in the governorate of Sidi Bouzid in light of the high number of people infected with COVID-19 and to answer the governor’s resolution to lift chairs and tables from cafes and restaurants tomorrow Saturday.

Participants displayed their dismissal of this decision because of its impacts on their economic projects and its contribution to cutting off workers’ livelihoods, as it happened during the first phase of COVID-19 in March. , April and May of the current year.

They emphasised the need to maintain their work while respecting the health protocol represented by social distancing by adopting the reduction in the number of tables and chairs, a space between one table and the other, and by avoiding games. cards, in addition to proper sterilization and the use of single-use cups.
