Tunisia-The Free Destourian Party refuses to take the oath collectively

The Free Destourian Party refused to take the oath collectively as they asked to carry the oath ceremony individually during the inaugural session of the House of People’s Representatives (HPR).

The PDL designates that Article 58 of the 2014 Constitution specifies that “every member in the Assembly of the Representatives of the People shall, upon assuming their functions, swear the following oath: I swear, by God Almighty, that I will diligently serve the nation, that I will respect the provisions of the Constitution, and that I will bear full allegiance to Tunisia.”
