Tunisia- Thickness of manhole cover where Farah fell does not exceed 5 centimeters

The chairman of the civil protection diving team, Mounir Ben Jemaa, stated that the thickness of the manhole cover, where Farah fell, is no more than 5 centimetres.

Covering a sewer in such a crowded place with such a thin cover is unacceptable, the official said.

Ben Jemaa added that the search is still ongoing and that the chances of finding the child alive are very slim, considering the toxic gases she must have inhaled in the pipes.

Recall that little Farah died in Bhar Lazrag following a fatal fall into a manhole, which was covered by a plywood plate.
