Tunisia-Tozeur: A curfew in Nefta to contain COVID-19

A curfew has been decreed on the delegation of Nefta (Tozeur), from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday to Friday, and from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m., on Saturday and Sunday, announced the governor of Tozeur, Aymen. Bejaoui.

In a statement to the TAP Agency, he said that this decision was taken on Tuesday by the regional commission for the fight against disasters and the organization of relief of the governorate of Tozeur, following the increase in the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19.

The committee also decided to close sports halls in the region and to strengthen monitoring of the application of the health protocol in the other delegations in the region.

Referring to the measures already taken by the commission, he said that the commission decided to extend them, citing the curfew and the reception of a single person in hairdressing salons with the obligation to wear masks.

Cafes will work with a capacity not exceeding 30% in closed spaces and 50% in open-air spaces while ensuring the continuation of the ban on hookahs and card games. and to limit the number of people per table to two and to respect the sanitary protocol.

The committee meeting also agreed to form local committees to monitor the application of the sanitary protocol in all spaces, to extend the closure of the Moorish baths and to call on the elderly not to go out except in case of necessity.

The governor called on residents of the region to limit family visits and wear masks during visits.
