Thursday evening, in the city of Bizerte, Tunisia, a tragedy happened implicating two young boys aged 13 and 14, accused of fatally stabbing a 35-year-old man following his rejection to give them money.
The events took place in the city centre when the two teenagers came near the victim to ask him for money. Confronted with the man’s refusal, an altercation broke out and ended with the fatal stabbing of the latter.
The forces of the judicial police of Bizerte initiated a search in the alleys of the old town and succeeded in arresting the young escapees.
Initially accused of possession and use of a bladed weapon as well as assault, their case was exacerbated to intentional homicide after the victim died from his injuries at Rabta Hospital in the capital.
According to the official spokesperson for the Bizerte court of first instance, Seif Eddine El Abidi, the two minors will be presented before the investigating judge next Monday with charges reclassified as murder.
