Tunisia-Tunisair to take delivery of Airbus A320neo on December 22

Tunisair will take delivery on December 22 of a new Airbus A320neo to increase its fleet and improve its services.

Deputy Director-General in charge of marketing Karim Guediche said last November 30 the national carrier will acquire five aircraft to improve its flights to African and European destinations.

An increased fleet, Guediche said, would address flight delays caused by technical failures.

Three planes would be delivered in 2022 (April, July and Septembre), the official said. The national carrier will take delivery of a fifth plane in April 2023.

Tunisair is working to provide necessary conditions for a successful summer tourist season and the return home of Tunisian expatriates by operating 16 planes against 11 in the previous season.
