The Tunisian Post is issuing, from November 5, 2020, a postage stamp with the theme of one of the Ksours of the desert spread over the whole of southwestern Tunisia; the “Ksar Ouled Soltane” in Tataouine.
This launch will take place on the occasion of the inscription of the Ksours of southern Tunisia on the preliminary list of world tangible cultural heritage of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). An initiative which also aims to make known the archaeological sites which are part of the cultural and tourist reserve of our country.
As part of the innovation in the field of philately, the technology of “Augmented Reality” was adopted for this postage stamp through the application developed for this purpose called “Tunisia Stamps” which is available on the App Store and the Play Store.
The aim is to provide digital and textual content to the image of the postage stamp in order to provide additional information on the subject of the issue.
This postage stamp, as well as the other philatelic products produced for this occasion, will be available for sale in all post offices and via the Internet by means of electronic payment through the site www.e-stamps.poste.tn at from November 5, 2020.
