Tunisia-Tunisia has signed agreements to obtain 6 million doses

The Minister of Health, Faouzi Mehdi, announced this Wednesday, January 20 during a press conference held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Health that Tunisia has concluded with multiple laboratories for the purchasing of 6 million doses of vaccines.

Indeed, in addition to the agreement with COVAX, Tunisia has designed to obtain 2.4 million vaccines thanks to an African initiative as well as 2 million doses produced by internationally renowned laboratories, in particular Pfizer, although the discussions with these are still ongoing, he explained.

The minister, in the same context, confirmed that all vaccines that will be acquired by Tunisia will have to follow international criteria for quality.

Health personnel will be vaccinated as a priority given the nature of their work which demands them to be in direct contact with infected people, added the minister as he thanked the white army.
