Tunisia-Tunisia joins the international community for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women

Tunisia will be joining the international stage for  16 Days of Activism to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.

The Ministry of Women and Family Affairs positively asserted that this move aims to break the wall of prolonged silence against women violence and fight all patterns of gender-based violence, which will undoubtedly contribute to enlisting all energies and conscious efforts to overcome this phenomenon and its severe repercussions on the family.

From 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, multiple events worldwide, such as marches, art competitions, cycling rallies and marathons will be organized as part of the UN System-wide activities for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, to urge actions to end this scourge that impacts one in three women worldwide.
