Two Kuwaiti military planes arrived this Thursday, July 15, 2021, at Tunis-Carthage airport with oxygen, respirators and medical equipment on board to support Tunisia’s efforts in its fight against COVID-19.
According to Kuwaiti media, the planes were transporting 40 tons of aid including food aid. This is the first shipment as part of the airlift set up to support Tunisia which is going through an unparalleled health crisis.
The President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed addressed his most warm gratitude to Kuwait and Emir Nawaf al-Ahmad Al-Sabah for this gesture which confirms the close bonds of friendship between the two nations.
