Tunisia-Tunisia reemphasises rejection of establishing any form of relationship with Zionist entity even in sports competitions

The Foreign Affairs Ministry emphasised in a declaration “No form of relationship with the Zionist entity is allowed, even in sports events.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that Tunisia’s women tennis team who are currently playing in Helsinki (Finland)   in the Fed Cup match against the Zionist entity, is deemed a breach of Tunisia’s steadfast historical dedications to the Palestinian cause.

Their participation also differs with the official stance of the Tunisian government which supports the Palestinian cause for an independent State with Al Quds East as its capital in accordance with the international resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative plan.

The Tunisian tennis team are currently taking part in the qualifiers for the Fed Cup, Europe-Africa group 2, which also includes Moldova, Georgia and the Zionist entity.
