Tunisia- Tunisia reiterates unwavering support for the Palestinian cause

Foreign minister Noureddine Erray  participated in virtual Arab ministerial meeting on Palestine, during which the FM reiterated Tunisia unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and the right of the Palestinian people to establish an “independent and sovereign” state with al-Quds as its capital.”

Erray declared Tunisia’s stance towards the Palestinian cause is constant; it is a “just and central cause.” The FM reaffirmed Tunisia’s condemnation of the Israeli colonisation policy.

“The Israeli plan for new settlements in the occupied territories would ruin any hope of reaching a two-state solution.”

Tunisia called on the international community to use all possible means to put pressure on Israel and bring it to urgently execute the previous UN and Arab resolutions related to the Palestinian cause, the statement said.

Tunisia favours any initiative aimed at boosting the peace process in the Middle East.

It, at the same time, reiterated its support to the Palestinian people and to any initiative aimed at invigorating the Middle East peace process.
