Spokesperson for the regional labour union in Sfax revealed that the regional secretary general, as well as three members of administrative bodies and seven other union officials, were summoned by the investigation and research brigade of the National Guard, after a complaint lodged against them by the owner of an oil extraction factory in Agareb, for having stopped employees from returning to work.
The case dates back to last December, when trade unionists organized a protest sit-in in front of the factory, to demand salary demands, and to protest against the pollution generated by the factory’s activity.
