Tunisia-Tunisia welcomes GCC’s AlUla declaration

Tunisia positively welcomed  Al-Ula declaration which restored ties between blockading nations and Qatar.

In a press release issued by the ministry of foreign affairs, Tunisia announced it had closely watched the outcomes of the work of the yearly regional grouping summit in the Arabian Gulf, hoping that this summit will help further solidify the values of solidarity and harmony between all Arab nations.

Note that on Tuesday, January 5, 2021, Qatar and Saudi Arabia, as well as five other Gulf countries, approved an agreement completely restoring relationships between Doha and some of its neighbours following mediation efforts led by Kuwait and the United States.

As a reminder, In June 2017, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Egypt cut ties with Qatar, accusing it of supporting Islamist groups.
