The head of the regional chamber of bakery owners in Beja, Sadiq Haboubi, said that it was decided to observe a protest before the headquarters of the Ministry of Commerce on December 7, 2022.
Haboubi told Tunisie Numérique that the Chamber plans to stop working throughout the territory of the Republic due to the non-payment of their financial contributions.
“It was anticipated that our subscription was paid before November 30, 2022, but that did not apply by the supervisory authorities … They ignored our legitimate requests,” he said.
He still emphasised that they demand the disbursement of 260 million dinars from the state for the benefit of bakers.
