Tunisia-Under the request of Tunisia, the Security Council meets again

The attaché to the diplomatic cabinet of the Presidency of the Republic, Walid Hajjem, announced today that the Security Council will meet to examine again the evolution of the situation in the Palestinian territories at the request of Tunisia, a non-permanent member of the Council.

Speaking to a private radio, he additionally added that Tunisia had requested a closed-door meeting with the Palestinian parties and the 8 states that supported this request.

It should be noted that the Council did not reach an agreement during its meeting held last Monday on the conviction of the violence committed by the Zionist Entity against the Palestinians “because of the reservations made by the American delegation”, according to reports by international news agencies.
