The US Secretary of State for Defense, Mark Esper, will begin his tour in several Maghreb countries with a visit to Tunisia, where he will arrive tomorrow Wednesday and meet the President of the Republic, Kaïs Saïed, and the Minister of Defense Brahim Bartagi.
The US Secretary of Defense is expected to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation against extremist organizations, especially with Algeria, where he will be the first Pentagon tenant to visit in 15 years.
The US secretary is also expected to deliver a speech at the US Military Cemetery in Carthage, the burial site of US soldiers killed in World War II.
