Tunisia-[Video ] Some families abandoned their relatives of special needs during the lockdown

People with special needs encountered many hardships during the lockdown, researcher on people with special needs during the COVID-19 pandemic Imed Eddine Ouertani told Tunisie Numérique.
The same source pointed out that many couldn’t obtain grants given by the state and even those who acquired one, it wasn’t enough to cover their needs.
Many were also abandoned by their families who feared that the virus would be transmitted to them or get infected with it, he added.
