Tunisia [Video]: Tire manufacturers and operators protest in Sousse

Owners of manufacturing forwarding companies under Law 93/120 organized a demonstration in front of the headquarters of the governorate of Sousse on Monday to condemn the decision to stop the import of raw materials employed in the manufacture of their products. They said their staff have been jobless for six months without pay due to the business shutdown.

Owners of outsourcing businesses have announced they have loads to bear, paying CNSS, utility bills and other charges and want to be able to resume operations.

They indicated that they sent messages to all administrations without having obtained valid answers apart from vague promises to examine their situation.

Protesters lamented that public administrations are shifting responsibility for decision-making, saying they are tossed around between industry and environment ministers and customs.
