Health Minister Faouzi Mehdi paid a visit to the governorate of Sfax to inaugurate a new vaccination centre.
According to Mehdi, the opening of a new vaccination centre is essential, because in Sfax the authorities saw a disparity between the registration rate on the Evax platform and the number of people vaccinated.
Other vaccination centres will be set up in various governorates depending on the number of people registered on the vaccination platform, he added.
The minister further indicated that the occupancy rate of intensive care beds is 87% and that of beds equipped with oxygen is 77%.
