Tunisia-Visit of the American delegation – Marouen Falfel explains his presence

Tahya Tounes MP Marouen Falfel revealed his reasons for answering the invitation from the US delegation. The politician maintained that his presence was mainly due to the fact that he wanted to bar the way in front of the Ennahdha MPs who, with the absence of almost all of their opponents’ representatives, endangered distorting the truth about what really happened in Tunisia since July 25.

He further said he wanted to know the true intentions of the delegation and whether they came to support Ennahdha or democracy in Tunisia. Falfel added that his intervention was directed at making Americans understand that the events of July 25 were the result of the will of the people and that it was out of the question to go back, concluding that the President of the Republic put an ending to the controversy over this visit.
