Tunisia – When an ambassador and his aides refuse to return to their post and operate from Tunis

The appointment of Tunisia ambassador to Trimplli was announced a few weeks ago, yet the latter hasn’t resumed his post and favoured to work from Tunis, where he transferred to the premises of the “Institute of Diplomacy”. Yet his post specified, well, that he was to take up his post at the Tunisian embassy in Tripoli.

Worse still, this diplomat who declines to return to his post, presumably for fear of the security situation in the neighbouring nation, find a means to demand and receive, the arrangement of two assistants working just like him, from Tunis, probably, while savouring the advantages of diplomats posted abroad.

But apart from this ruinous governance which will be neither the first nor the second in the administration of public funds, the big dilemma which arises from this parody situation is that Tunisia dares to wish to be present in Libya, and to seize shares market in the coming process of restoration.

Tunisia dares to claim to compete with Turkey which has consumed everything on the Libyan market, and which is everywhere, or with the great powers which will arrive with their multinationals as soon as it gets to contracts and markets … Tunisia challenges to claim all that, with an ambassador who works from home and who does not deign to go to Tripoli, where everything will be done and decided, for the future!
