Tunisia-Workers’ Party: Kais Saied is a danger to rights and freedoms

The Workers’ Party yesterday condemned the extradition of Algerian refugee Suleiman Bouhafs, affirming that this forms a flagrant violation of the Tunisian Constitution and the Geneva agreement.
In the absence of an official response from the Tunisian authorities, the workers’ party denounced this act ethically, legally and politically, calling on the President of the Republic, who monopolizes all powers, to shoulder his responsibility.
The party, therefore, explained that the extradition of the Algerian refugee constitutes one of the many practices of severe violation of the rights indicating that Kais Saied constitutes a danger for the rights and the freedoms. It likewise called on the democratic forces to face these practices which constitute a first indicator of the dictatorship.
